Don’t get me wrong, I love me some over-the-top Alan Ball zaniness, but the scene above, between Bill and The Queen, was one serious thespian trainwreck.

i think both adjectives would relate to a) – correct?
i’m not a big fan of stephen moyer’s thespian stylings but evan rachel wood knocked it out of the park in terms of chewing up the scenery. waaaaaaay out of her league. now alexander skarsgard on the other hand….
I’m still looking for some Sam/Jason slashfic out there.
Big acting, bad room?
the episode on the whole was pretty weak. my husband looked at me during this scene and said “she MUST be fucking somebody, because she certainly can’t act”.
does fucking marilyn manson give her cred to play queen of the damned?
Lthough I have yet to see this weeks episode, I can believe it. True Blood is chockers with wince-inducing acting.
I saw “Big Bad”, so my “Buffy”-oriented mind instantly squee’d with happiness. Then I kept reading and got disappointed. I like “True Blood” well enough, but it frankly can’t compare to BTVS, imho.
BTW, AfterElton.com has a great bit on how “True Blood” owed a great deal to “Buffy”: http://www.afterelton.com/blog/dennis/ten-things-buffy-true-blood
Enjoy!
Well it is Mr. Ball, we should certainly expect a bit of camp and overacting. I wasn’t enthralled with this episode either, and the ending was predictable and lame. I do like this series though (just not as well as I like Nurse Jackie).
BTW,
Evan Rachel Wood was indeed fucking someone. Marlyn Manson. I guess there is indeed, “an ass for every seat”.
