In Chuck Norris’ America, The Will Of The Majority To Fuck Over Minorities Is SACRED

There’s nothing quite so disgusting as rich, white, old, Christian men playing victim. Oh, wait, there is something more disgusting — when the rich, white, old, Christian man is an irrelevant has-been. An artifact of disposable pop-culture. Like Chuckles Norris, f’rinstance.

Since the passing of Prop 8 (in California, and three other state measures), over four hundred protests have taken place worldwide. All but a handful of them have been exhillarating, empowering and peaceful. The delusional former celebrity manages to list those exceedingly minor incidents — which, by the way, compared to lesbians and gay men losing their jobs, homes, proper health care, benefits and adoption rights? And being bashed and fucking murdered for being gay or lesbian?!?  MICROSCOPIC.

Chuck Norris, 93

Anyway, after opening with the five or so incidents out of 400+ worldwide protests involving hundreds of thousands of lesbians and gay men and their friends and families, Norris whines:

What’s wrong with this picture? Lots.

First, there’s the obvious inability of the minority to accept the will of the majority. Californians have spoken twice, through the elections in 2000 and 2008. Nearly every county across the state (including Los Angeles County) voted to amend the state constitution in favor of traditional marriage.

Nevertheless, bitter activists simply cannot accept the outcome as being truly reflective of the general public. So they have placed the brainwashing blame upon the crusading and misleading zealotry of those religious villains: the Catholics, evangelical Protestants, and especially Mormons, who allegedly are robbing the rights of American citizens by merely executing their right to vote and standing upon their moral convictions and traditional views.

See, what this delusion fucknuts with a bad wig and worse beard-colouring — and, by the way, twice-married and divorced, and father of a child created by fucking a woman other than the one to whom he was married at that time — doesn’t quite understand is that democracy does not mean the majority gets to bully the minority.

No, that definition of democracy is one spouted by idiots who don’t know how American democracy works, and the role of American courts in ensuring that a bullying majority doesn’t trample on the rights of minorities.

Here’s another choice tid-bit:

I agree with Prison Fellowship’s founder, Chuck Colson, who wrote: “This is an outrage. What hypocrisy from those who spend all of their time preaching tolerance to the rest of us! How dare they threaten and attack political opponents? We live in a democratic country, not a banana republic ruled by thugs.”

Colson Mugshot
Charles “Chuck” Colson, 104

Do y’all remember who Chuck Colson is? He was Richard Nixon’s chief counsel and, while he was never charged or prosecuted for any crime associated with the Watergate incident, he was heavily implicated. Oh, Chuck. Quit pointing that chubby, white, shriveled finger at us, because there are three pointing right back atcha.

But here’s what proves Norris can’t really conceive of an original thought, and is merely one of the recipients of the Bill O’Reilly Talking Point Meme-O™ from, like, last week:

What’s surprising (or maybe not so) is that even though 70 percent of African-Americans voted in favor of Proposition 8, protests against black churches are virtually nonexistent. And everyone knows exactly why: Such actions would be viewed as racist. Yet these opponents of Prop. 8 can protest vehemently and shout obscenities in front of Mormon temples without ever being accused of religious bigotry. There’s a clear double standard in our society. Where are the hate-crime cops when religious conservatives need them?

Okay, first off? Who, other than racist and/or religious conservatives, are overwhelmingly the perpetrators of hate crimes? But, more to the point? I’d like to propose that asking why pro-gay-marriage protestors don’t demonstrate against African-American churches be considered Godwin’s Law II. It’s a bogus argument, bald-faced in its attempt to pit the racist, religious right’s biggest opponents against each other, especially when wielded by anyone who would seriously get sexually aroused at the thought of gays v. blacks.

Like Chuck Norris. There’s not even any cheesy camp appeal left to your former career, asshole. On the upside, folks, if defending the status quo is being left to the irrational likes of Chucks Norris and Colson, well, put some coffee on. Because change won’t be long in arriving.

I feel you jim, Primus is the worst company. it is very bad that they carry Canada name behind their name “Primus”, I signed up for the VOIP and it was the worst choice I have ever made. then I decided to more to regular phone line and they asked for $50 connection fee. it took them 7 days to transfer the phone. my family lived with no phone or internet for complete 7 days. then they offered me a very good offer on the internet. so they promised me to get the internet and they never did. I lived without internet for about a week again. then I said fuck it and called Rogers and got a phone service and internet from them it took them 1 day to set everything. I rather pay more but not to live in this shit.

I agree with Mark. I do not find this movie depressing per say … but simply brilliantly written. I have the whole show memorized too … and I can watch it over and over again. And God bless Leonard Frey … what an actor !

    My dear sir:

It has come to my attention by means of my attentiveness that you haven’t said much lately. Ahem ahem. If you let it go to a month, you’ll start to grow the impression that you have to explain, blah blah, and that the post has to be awesome to compensate etc. I therefore must urge you with great urgings to get something up here before November 24th. You can talk about how mustache-growing affects kissing on the part of the kisser (I know about the kissee already). Or the weather. What you had for lunch. I’m just saying, immediate action must be taken to avoid certain disaster. Or something. Please. Pretty please.

Soooo…Where the F are you? You can’t tell me that life in Van is so fabulously awesome that there is nothing to complain about! Is that city so perfect, are the roads so pothole free, are the politicians so straight that there is nothing to talk about? Or.. are you sick … that tiresome sinus issue you have? Us loving followers (yes from Toronto) need to know?

@anne & SkippyBoy: Thanks for the votes advocating more posts. They’re coming. Truth is, I’ve been working more hours than usual and diving, headfirst and enthusiastically, into establishing a social network here in Vancouver. Life is good here, very good.

  • Sometimes, I feel sad that there’s so much negativity on the Internet. Whether or not you like, dislike, or have no particular opinion on someone, I just don’t think it’s very nice to be so mean.

I guess I just wish people were sweeter.

  • This is terrible. I was on another site http://www.timhortonsfranchise.com and see they don’t treat thier franchisees any better. This is disgusting what a giant corporation can do. Spread the word.

  • I think it’s JUST adorable! There’s something rather touching about the small pox and polio notes to me. You’re right Brett, it’s become something better than useful, it’s become art.
