This is beyond belief. This is insane, it’s evil, it’s dishonest. This is what’s left of the Republican Party in America. Conservatives haven’t left the Republican Party. The Party has left them.
There was a time, six or so weeks ago, that stealth Republicans were infesting the blog comments and websites I visit, claiming that any criticism of Sarah Palin would solidify her support.
I say: let’s see more video of the poisonous hatred oozing from McCain/Palin supporters, let’s see more pig-ignorant McCarthyism from the likes of Michelle Bachmann.
This is what’s left of the GOP. Pathetic.
ADDENDUM: More from Bachmann, this time with added, Thinly-Veiled Racism™!
ADDENDUM THE SECOND (The Good News): From the Minnesota Independent today:
Since Michele Bachmann’s Friday appearance on MSNBC’s “Hardball” with Chris Matthews, Democrat El Tinklenberg has racked up $120,000 in donations (as of 10:40 a.m.) at the website Act Blue. Bachmann, the incumbent Republican representative in the 6th congressional district, said she was concerned that Barack Obama may have anti-American views and urged the media to look into whether members of Congress are “pro-America or anti-America.” Since then, donations have been flooding in from across the country, and many commenters, both at MnIndy (here and here) and Tinklenberg’s Facebook page, are absolutely clear that Bachmann’s “Hardball” appearance drove their donations.
ADDENDUM THE THIRD: $438k Donated to Bachmann’s Opponent Since Interview:
24 hours ago, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann announced that all those who disagree with her are “Anti-American.” Since then, the outpouring of support for my campaign has been extraordinary. Since Congresswoman Bachmann’s outrageous remarks, my campaign has raised $438,346.57, and we’re working to reach $500,000 by 5 p.m. today. Congresswoman Bachmann’s extreme ideology divides people, but her comments on MSNBC’s Hardball have united all of those who believe that I will jump start the ecomomy on Main Street by creating jobs and rebuilding our infrastructure. As a Minister and Mayor, I brought people together. I believe that we build by addition, not division. I want to thank you all. It is now clear that we have the momentum to win and I ask for your financial support. I will keep everyone posted.
Thank you,
El Tinklenberg

Based on lengthy experience watching her in Minnesota, I think it’s sort of a combination of all three.
Basically, she is what happens when (1) a person who isn’t very smart (2) also has some very bad motives and (3) really, truly believes some factual things about the world that are not true. She is a genuinely scary and malevolent figure, and she has been ever since her time in the MN legislature. She was absolutely obsessed with a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, to the point where it genuinely seemed to be, from a public policy perspective, all she could think about. She is, simply put, no damn good.
On the bright side?
There’s the part where suddenly she’s a brilliant fundraiser for her opponent!
She’s got the same look in her eyes as Katherine Harris, Michelle Malkin, and the rest of the current crop of female conservative pols and talking heads who still believe that Dear Leader from Crawford knows what he is doing. Incidentally, it is very similar to the look that the Manson girls were sporting back in the day. If McCain loses the election, are they going to shave their heads?
[...] Anti-Americans Greet Barack Obama in St. Louis Missouri, 18 October [...]
She has all the attributes of a fuckable fundamentalist and the same mental agility. A quick check of her tainted and sketchy Bio and the display of her limited purview reveals that she is but one of hundreds of thousands of slow thinking “Hockey Mom” types that my grandmother would have told to “Smarten up Girl”.
And yes… she “represents” my newly adopted state. Uggh.
Bachmann is the most vial and wicked individual to raise her ugly head in this election. She, like all lawfully registered and elibible voters, has the right to vote for whomever she chooses. However, no one has the right to spead lies about Obama or any other candidate they have fundamental disagreements with. To accuse, on national t.v., Senator Obama of being “anti-American” is not only a lie, it is devisive and morally wrong. She and her fellow party cult members have accused Sen. Obama of being a terrorist, anti-American, a muslim, a socialist and a communist. These comments are not only lies, they represent the divisiveness of what Backmann and her party are capable of in their feeble attempt to win the white house for McCain. I realize there are uninformed voters out there that either do not have the ability or desire to become “informed” voters and/or learn the truth of what Sen. Obama stands for and that is inclusiveness and progress for all Americans. Howeve, Bachmann is supposedly an educated woman and also happens to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. She has accused Sen. Obama of being “anti-American” which is just not true. Either she doesn’t believe this and is comfortable being a liar or she believes this and is comfortable being a fool. Either way, we cannot afford to have “leaders” in Congress that are capable of saying the things this woman has on national t.v. and is willing to cause division and even vilolence in this nation. This nation, under 8 years of the Bush admin. and 6 of the last 8 years of republiCON misLeadership in Congress, just can’t afford the rhetoric of Bachman and the lies Palin and McCain have been repeating hoping enough Americans will believe them and vote for them. If this nation even has a chance of recovering from the misleadership of the Bush admin. and the republiCON party, we must have a leader that will heal our tarnished image around the world and our financial bloodletting caused by Bush and his croonies. Obama is that leader and if we want to give this limping nation a chance we must vote Obama.
She is just another racist Republican cunt…Republicans are the most racist and vile people on the face of the earth. They are the most hypocritical, self righteous pricks and cunts. They are the ones that have this country all fucked up. Was it not George Bush who said that he wanted to unite the country. He has made this country more divisive than ever. They said the same thing when Clinton ran for president. That he would raise taxes, yet when he left office there was a surplus. Under Clinton, jobs were created, people were able to take vacations, buy houses, save money. This is all about race, plain and simple. They can try to spin this every which way they want. The fact of the matter is that white people truly feel that only whites must be president of the United States. Well you white people better wake to fuck up. America is becoming a country of mixed races. This is what will make America a great country.
She is on self-destruct mode…… the Jane McCarthy of the new millennium strikes her way to oblivion and Elwyn Tinklenberg chances of unseating her just got way better.
Optimusprime, you sound like a racist yourself. Bachmann is nuts, but not all republicans are like her. Get a clue.
Also, I’m white and I have no problem with black man becoming president. Neither do most whites. It’s not about race. It’s about coming together to fix our country’s problems.
Matt C you say that now, but we all know that when you go into that voting booth and pull those blinds, when no one but you are there, you’re going to pull that lever for Mr. Mc Cain.
What is up with Minnesota? They are proving to be as obtuse as Texans. Why do they feel the need to elect racist, anti-democracy, reactionary evangelicals? Go Michele Bachmann, just keep saying the tape of you accusing Obama of being anti-American is an urban legend. Palin – Bachmann in 2012.

You forgot to put option D) All of the above.
I notice no that’s a check box…checked all three of them!
