No friend of This.That.No Other., Ben Stein continues to exhibit behaviour requiring him to seriously shut the fuck up, like, right now. In a recent column for American Spectator, Stein suggests that Barack Obama is behind Paris Hilton’s surprisingly brilliant “response ad”, featured here earlier this week. He goes on to call her a “a total nobody party girl” who “got her start as a porn star” and who’s been “trotted out by media barons to smear John McCain.”
I trust FunnyOrDie‘s Will Ferrell will be pleased to hear he’s now a media baron. Stein spews further:
This little tramp, who isn’t even close to being pretty, is belittling a man who spent six years in brutal captivity for defending his country.
Paris, get this: in modern day America, we don’t mock people because of things they have done that are unavoidable and not in any way blameworthy. We don’t make fun of blacks for being black. We don’t make fun of women for having breasts. We don’t make fun of old people for being old. This is uncool from any source. It is downright disgusting coming from a porn star — and not a very good porn star at that (yes, I have seen the tape). And we especially don’t like being told how to vote by porn stars. If this is the best the Hollywood pals of Barack Obama can do, maybe John McCain has more of a shot than I thought he did.
Oh, Ben, you wrinkled, stupid, ugly, unfunny, clueless, whore for the Religious Right, creationist, humourless, former Nixon speechwriting, pathetic hack. Do we come down to GOP headquarters and slap the cock out of your mouth? No, we do not. Damn you for making us like Paris Hilton even more than her spoof video did.

I’d rather be told who to vote for by a porn star–any porn star, *Ron Jeremy* even–than by Ben Stein.

Oh and Ben, spending “six years in brutal captivity for defending his country” may be admirable depending on the circumstances*, but it doesn’t make one a more qualified candidate for the presidency.

Okay. It was bad enough that I actually felt bad for Paris when she finally got thrown in jail. Now she does her ad, which almost makes me sort of like her. Then, some fucking, bottom feeding, right wing homunculus puts me in a position where I feel like I have to defend Paris Hilton, I mean Paris Hilton for Christ’s sake, the right in this country has just gone too far.
I say bring back the stocks and get me a bag of rotting cabbages!

May be a great quick intellect but he reasons from a fundamentally flawed premise.
He thinks himself another Milton Freidman and Alan Greenspan. Any child selling lemonade has more business savvy than these guys. Can you believe these guys think we are actually a free market economy. What jerks. The tax payers bail out Fanny May, freddy Mac, Bears and Stern, Now maybe Leman Brothers. We bail out all the free enterprise idiots and they call it capitalism. Just like we bailed out the S and L’s in the 1980′s . The only ones who are allowed to fail are the working people. The ones who pay federal income tax, social security tax, Medicare , unemployment tax, sales tax, corporate bail out tax. Then these same idiots like to express there views on the entitlements these working bums want after a life time of bailing everyone else’s ass out of trouble. Some how the baby boomers and people with environmental concerns are the ones who caused all these greedy hubris filled idiots to screw up our economy.
They love to blame everyone except the greedy corprocons who have nothing but maleficence and distain for working people. Ben Stein can take his money and eat it.
He represents a poor example for the logic that is true free market economies. Free markets are small businesses and local communities supporting each other’s free trade, not these corporate thieves and their cheerleaders.
