Oh, Canada

Our winters are miserable and our politicians are fucktards, we aspire to mediocrity and bend over for multinational corporations, our cities are barely holding it together and our national mantra is “sorry!”

But after a day on the (officially-sanctioned, clothing-optional) beach in the sweltering sun, with cheeky, sexy friends, men and women who’ve immigrated from all over the world, arguing international politics and culture, stripping and splashing and dishing and dripping, sharing a toke and a joke and toasting the latest queer marriage… would you really want to live anywhere else?

Not me. Not today. Happy Canada Day.

  • You have national health, same sex marriage, openly serving ‘mo’s in the military and most importantly, poutain! We have George Bush. I may never forgive my grandparents for moving to the states.

Happy Canada Day! I’m jealous that you have a country where you can strip down, share a joke and a toke and have fun.

We can’t do that here. Not without being in direct violation of the Patriot Act or something.

Oh, and I love your shaved head, bearded pictures as opposed to your fluffy hair, no beard pics. :-)

Tony, there are many reasons to love Canada, but I wouldn’t put poutine among them :-/ Gads, I feel my arteries clang shut just looking at that stuff!
