Man, Hat in Hand (76th at Broadway, NYC, 7 April 2008, Late)
Supershort, 2-day trip to New York City earlier this week. Unifying theme? Absolutely everyone with whom I interacted I would not have ever interacted with had I not met them online. Dave and Tara, who took me to a staggeringly star-studded performance of Upright Citizens’ Brigade and the most awesome mac-and-cheese I’ve ever eaten; Steve, with whom I’ve corresponded and chatted for at least six years and is eleventy times more… everything than I’d have expected.
And then there’s this guy:

When Bloggers Collide (NYC, 7 April 2008, Early)
Everything you might or might not have thought about ELeven is true and not true. Any pessimism I might’ve had for the future of queer politics, common-sense activism and, duh, fun has taken leave, for real. There’s no such thing as too much ELeven and his sassyfierce ilk.
None of the people mentioned above would have intersected my orbit had it not been for the online multiverse. Team Internet!

YEAH! Take that, naysayers!
Loving those photos. Especially the top one. Nice.
Aw, thanks, Carol Elaine. I had more fun in 2 days than people should be allowed.
And, Tara, I know, right? I’m just worried that it’ll catch on and lose its cachet.
More on my trip later, of course.
nice sweatshirt.
