I’m gonna warn you, straight-up, that I don’t expect you to watch this lying, pig-ignorant bitch for any longer than it takes for you to get to your mouse and click STOP before your ears completely bleed out, but just in case you were wondering whether the controversy regarding Republican Oklahoma State Representative Sally Kern’s recent, bigoted outburst might have, oh, I dunno, taught this fucking idiot anything, this might enlighten you:

My favourite moments are when Kern absolutely denies saying something outrageously bigoted and then, without even taking a breath, repeats that very same thing, only adding ludicrous, fact-free justification!

The Bible doesn’t like us. The Bible doesn’t like a lot of other things, too, I know; but it really doesn’t like us. And if, as gay people, you’re already picking and choosing which parts of the Bible you’re going to adhere to, can’t y’all just pick and choose your way to something more sensible? Like athiesm?

And, jon, Kern says that she’s friends with gays, but that hairdo tells quite a different story.

But on a more serious note, I do think that a lot (but not all) of homophobia I’m now seeing is more of a generational issue. The younger and younger folk tend to be far more accepting of gays and lesbians. Even with my nieces and nephews on my partner’s side who come from strict Christian upbringings talk openly of their love for their gay friends and classmates. Maybe I’m being rather Pollyanna in my thinking, but hopefully, Rep. Kern will end up being borne out as the ugly-ass dinosaur that she is… or at least as her look is.
