B-movie character actor, former Nixon speechwriter, game-show host and noted homophobe Ben Stein has loaned his name, voice and media presence to an execrable piece of propaganda called Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.

Merely looking at the extended trailer, below, reveals quite plainly that this endeavour is artistically bankrupt through its clumsy and offensive imagery paired with lofty voice-over, scientifically bankrupt through its tedious misrepresentation of Darwin’s theory of evolution through natural selection — not to mention howlingly off-base interpretations of the scientific method itself — and intellectually bankrupt through its outright lies, out-of-context soundbites and jarringly egregious editing.

“Darwinism might actually be dangerous“? The fuck? Let’s add morally bankrupt to the list.

If it wasn’t so inept, artless, dishonest and laughable, it would make anyone with a rational mind weep. Intelligent Design explains nothing. It’s not a theory, it’s a collection of baseless, evidence-free claims. And it fails every test of the Scientific Method. It belongs as far away from science classes and institutions as possible.
