“Gayness is no longer a scandal,” he says. “Scandal now belongs to the Lindsay Lohans and the Britney Spearses and the Paris Hiltons of this world. The trio from hell, you know? That is what is considered being scandalous today. Being gay is not being scandalous these days unless you’re doing something scandalous and in that case, that belongs exclusively to the Republicans.”
