Reasoned Debate, CNN-Style

Imagine how watchable mainstream news would be if this happened more often.

It’ll take ten minutes of your life, ten minutes listening to Michael Moore eviscerating Wolf Blitzer, CNN and the mainstream media. Ten minutes of Michael Moore like a dog on a bone, calling out CNN and their “personalities” for tacitly (or explicitly) providing propaganda for government and corporations. Ten minutes of Wolf Blitzer dodging the accusations, obfuscating and justifying the shameful behaviour of so-called news media.

But wait for the kicker. “Journalist” Lou Dobbs: “He’s more of a left-wing promoter than Hugo Chavez, for crying out loud!”

Perfect. And right there is crystallized the best possible (and only) defense for the status quo (in health care and war reportage) in the face of all the facts, all the reasoning, all the intelligent debate. Call Michael Moore a leftie and you’ve completely demolished his arguments. Perfectly pathetic.
